Dr. Nikolaus Pfander (his writer-alias-naming is Nicolai F. Brecht Romanow, being an offspring of Romanow- and Brecht-family, likewise) is an history adventure writer, seeing himself in the tradtion of Umberto Eco resp. Alexandre Dumas resp. Anne Golon. On the other hand - he is a typical German writer - as he - similar to Karl May - describes places in Old Paris, which he has never seen - since - anyhow - nobody has ever seen them and/or described them in detail and reality b4.

Among his "forgotten and unknown" places and inhabitants of Old Paris are - - for instance - the Cour de Miracle, the inside of the Chateau du Temple (before its destruction), the "lost Underground-Convent" Magloire, the Parisian tripots (such as the Hotel Soissons), the Maison Darbon and - most frigthening - its archive. And - dont forget - all those other gossip-telling Parisian and french underground connections, catacombes, prisons etc etc. And -nevertheless - his academic background-research work remains solid, at least solid enough to convert his story into a quite possible historical reality.
