How to spot a scammer on Wattpad:

          	Main pattern:
          	1. They comment on your latest chapter with a generic or suspiciously detailed compliment.
          	2. They claim to have "ideas" or "questions" about your story.
          	3. They ask to move the conversation off-platform. This is the biggest tell.

          	Other red flags:
          	1. Follows hundreds of accounts but has little to no reading lists (Varying. Some of them learned not to follow a large amount of people as of late)
          	2. Account created recently. (Under a year. The more recent it is, the more likely it's a scammer)
          	3. Profile features a realistic photo of an attractive woman, or an anime girl.

If you see this pattern, report and ignore. Don't engage.

Ohhh I don’t know that they were scammers. I had two people reach out to me but I told them I couldn’t after that they unfollowed me and even removed their comments

@Hazy_0832 Yeah, I knew they talked about making a comic book off my story but they had no proof of their past work. I met two ai comic creators and they sent me the exact comic as a sample.

Hello hazy! I just wanted to ask- is it possible I could make a fan fiction of Anti NTR man? I would like to develop a side of the story where Yuuto helps out a random freshman, one time encounter— and after that encounter, the freshman moves towns, leaving behind his girlfriend which Yuuto helped exposed. Now while this didn’t happen in your story, and…Yuuto probably just happened to encounter this as a certain side quest— I’d like to write about the freshman and the impact Yuuto had on him!

damny022012

Alright! Totally will and thank you so much.

@Lekhguru_writes Id suggest talk to them first. See how commited they are. I once talked to an ai anime maker when i was contacted.

They had this "the tools will do the work for me" attitude, and had 0 improvisation, 0 hunger or desire to make anything on their own. Not even improvised voice acting, they let the tool do the work for them even when a soulless result came out.

Being someone who made an ai manga myself, i dont hate the idea of it, but they rely solely on external tools, thinking quality would just... Jump to their hands out of thin air if they think about it hard enough. Ended up turning them down.

If you're serious about what you do, youll hear if they are too in their voices.

hi bro u good ?

Hazy_0832

@Dakotaji_3602 Actually, I AM writing stories in a way and making money from it. Just not on Wattpad... or any novel website or even Amazon.

It's MY story, among other things that I won't reveal just yet. And trust me, people fking flock to hear it and it's only gonna get louder and more crowded.

@kimjualsung Never mind. You wanted advice, here it is:

Stop asking what's wrong with your stories and start asking if you enjoy reading them. If not, stop writing for others. Write something you'd actually love, even if it’s weird, dumb, or just for you.

I'm not going to validate work you won’t even stand behind. Most writers don’t get an audience early on if ever. That’s why you need to be the first to love your story. If you can’t do that, no advice will help.
