I have a confession to make: I very rarely follow writers because their update messages clog up my emails, (not that I don't live and breathe for their brilliant stories), but I read half of your very first sentence, about unexpected novels and brushing your fingers across the crumbly covers of old tomes and so on (your way of saying it was wayyy better), and I followed you instantly because the way you expressed exactly how I felt about writing and reading and making exciting discoveries in forgotten bookshops messed me up.
