When I write, I try to leave my work up for interpretation. I try to avoid telling the reader what to think, and to leave it up to their mind's eye. (But of course, there are, on occasion, exceptions.)
What I put on paper, are the words that swim in my head. Sometimes a line could be written, and that line can be used months or years later in a writing piece. Sometimes it just flows, no rewrites necessary.
Art can be dark and morbid. But other times, it can be bright and beautiful. Art comes from the deepest reaches of the mind. Being pulled forward for the world to see.
The bravest puts out their work, for it to be judged, and be under scrutiny. That's not an easy thing to do. Because that's your mind. That's your imagination, someone's out there is seeing it. So hat's off to the artist that is comfortable putting them selves out there. I know I can't put everything I make out into the world.
