Why does Wattpad insist on inserting a new line at the top of each new chapter>

I never know whether or not I should write dialogue in full or brief (e.g. I am or I'm), my novel, Queen of darkness, has a sort of fantasy medieval setting and i don't know what way to write the dialogue.
          If you could check it out and let me know what you think that would be amazing :) (The first two chapters have full dialogue (e.g. I am) and the rest of the chapters have shortened dialogue (e.g. I'm)
