Here's a sneak peek of my book "Something Strange":
Hi my names Raven and today I get to go to a new school. Yay… I can’t wait… You know what the best part is? It’s that my 16th birthday is tomorrow, and instead of spending it with my only friend. AKA MY BEST FRIEND FOR LIFE, AXEL! (Before you say anything I know what you’re thinking, her best friends a boy named Axel? The answers yes, Axel’s been my best friend since I was the new student at Oceanside Middle School. My school. Well now it’s my old school but you get the idea. The school was pretty big because it had the middle school and high school together.) The school that I’m enrolling in is called Lakeland High (this one is just a high school so hopefully it isn’t as big as my old school.) It’s also 25 hours away from Oceanside which means I won’t get to see Axel but maybe once a year if I’m lucky. What if Axel makes a new best friend? Or worse, what if Axel forgets about me completely! I’m probably just overthinking. That’s a habit of mine. I always tend to think of the worst possible thing that could happen instead of the best, so as you can tell I’m diffidently not very optimistic.
