@HeavenlyBradley Hi! I believe the first thing you need is a story. If you have a story you want to tell, that's the first step. Second I would say, read a lot. When you read, you learn more about writing, you expose yourself to various writing styles. From reading you will know what you like and what you don't like. While reading you can ask, why did I love this scene or this chapter. What about it really struck my heart and how can I replicate that. It's tough to learn while reading especially if the book is so good that you get absorbed in it. But just keep on reading. I wrote my first book on Wattpad two years after I joined. That's roughly two years of reading. It doesn't have to be the same for you but my point is to read.
