so I wanted to take a moment and recognize an issue that President Trump addressed late night. Sexual assault.
           When I was three, my Biological father would come into my room and rape me. I never told anyone, not my mom, not my grandparents, not even my brother, though we are very close. By the time I got the courage to speak up, I was 8 and he had been arrested for assaulting another woman. I cannot explain the profound sense of relief I felt when I learned that he couldn't hurt me anymore. as I got older, I realized that he might not have been able to hurt anyone else if I had just spoken up. I've come to terms with that guilt now, but I still have nightmares. 
            if anyone you know, or even you yourself have gone through anything like this, please speak up.  I am 17 years old and have accepted what happened, but I still wish I had done something to change it.
