HelloKidz
I never thought that I would have another special needs child. Bailey was just diagnosed with Autism today. It broke my heart. I will post a chapter about it soon

@HelloKidz The autism gene runs in our family. I found out years ago that my Nan's sister was locked up in a mental hospital by my grandad. They could not cope with her, she kept taking off her clothes and running down the street naked in the late 1800's. My younger sister was finally diagnosed two years ago. I new Ben was not right as he displayed actions like my sister, no eye contact, no response to things. It was only when Ben was diagnosed at age 2 n half, the doctor suggested getting my sister diagnosed. Later on as I learnt about Autism, I found one of the traits was not liking wearing clothes. And it finally clicked into place that it was running through my Nan's side of the family. I found out as well that OCD that my two grown up nieces ( brother and middle sister's children) have is also on the autistic spectrum. So it can run in familys. In the 1800's and 1900's right up to 1980's it was mistakenly called madness or later on learning difficulties. Which was very sad as a lot of children and adults were locked up over it. I have been researching my family tree now for five years. I found it skipped a generation sometimes. Maria
