#HelpFightCliches is a movement created by @DreamsForDreams to push the many writers of this community to reach outside of the many overused ideas that fill the libraries of so many readers. #HelpFightCliches wants to get writers to start thinking outside of the box and pushing the boundaries of what most are used to.
What is a Cliche? Well you may not know this but they are all around you. They are the very most typical topics that you see over used many times, that all revolve around the same story line. For instance the quiet girl who the popular bad boy always seems to fall in love with or the girl and boy who both become partners on a project, but happen to fall in love so quickly. You can also take a look at other Genre's other then just teen fiction. Werewolf stories with the mate being an "unlucky" pairing or the Dystopian stories where the nobody leads the rebellion.
Almost everyone has fallen to cliches once or twice in your life and that is totally okay, but #HelpFightCliches wants to get people to to leave those overused Cliches in the past and take a stand in creating something new! It's an amazing feeling when you know that you can stand out and help join the movement to Fight these Cliches!!!!
Joining is very simple! All you have to do is add the #HelpFightCliches tag to your book and you can add the sticker to your cover! The only requirement is that somewhere in your story you are fighting a cliche. Maybe your girl isn't the quiet one. Maybe your character isn't the nerd taken in by the grueling popular kids. It doesn't matter as long as your are fighting the everyday Cliches!
Once you add the tag #HelpFightCliches to your story, it will be added to our reading list!
Each week we will pick one story and feature it on our page! Remember to spread the word and share this movement with your friends. Thanks for taking a stand!!!
