Henry James Smith is my pen name. I have the insatiable need to create things and have attempted noise music, mixed media artwork, collage, and writing. I currently have written one novella, Zeep, and am constantly hammering out short stories or intros to planned novels. I enjoy reading contemporary literature, classics, biographies, auto or otherwise, cosmic, psychological, and body horror, beat poetry, gonzo journalism, satire, and many types of plays.
My favourite authors are:
-Bret Easton Ellis
-Shirley Jackson
-Kurt Vonnegut
-Hunter S. Thompson
-William S. Burroughs
-Philip K. Dick
-Fyodor Dostoevsky
-David Foster Wallace
-Mark Z. Danielewski
-Steven Hall
-Clive Barker
-H. P. Lovecraft
-S. E. Hinton
and Sebastian Horsley
