This site is dominated by females 14-20, but mature writers seem to find me.
I'm a good writer, but I can hardly say I am a great writer.
It's easier for me to make someone cry as some have reading my short story "In His Sensuous Arms." But "The Castaway" is just not that funny.
As yet I have to work hard to make my words look easy. I suspect it's the same with you.
We're not all an Orwell or Anthony Trollope, who write daily three hours every morning before heading to his postal job. Trollope almost never revised his work, and began a new story with 15 minutes left.
Next year the lovely Cary Decivito (Ital4Tforu) turns 40, or half my age by then.
She's been a precious friend also from Canada. More like a daughter.
Hits on my stories are into the thousands while many of my lady writer-friends have hits into the millions.
In my life I have been a teacher in Africa with the American Peace Corps as we as a certified teacher in the USA.
Most the other time has been my service as a soldier.
Good luck with your stories. By your age, you have life experiences that will turn into stories.
