GRACE
One night my head filled with stress
My heart a broken mess,
I could not sleep I had fearful dreams,
I left my bed, I had to leave,
I felt like I couldn't breath,
All I wanted was love,
But it's as if my body holds a shield,
I needed peace so I walked through the quiet field.
Catching all my tears by the back of my hand Every good memory slipping through my fingers like grains of sand,
I hate this feeling of always being sad.
Am I going crazy? Am I going mad?
I took a seat by the old willow tree
It's branches moved like the ocean,
The waves of the sea.
I pressed my head into my knees
Through my skin I could feel the cold breeze,
A warm hand on my shoulder,
I lift my head that's when our eyes meat he asking me kindly if he could take a seat.
He then takes my hand and tells me not to worry,
It's almost as if he new my whole life story,
He had the most beautiful smile spread across his face,
He never told me his name...
So I called him Grace.
