In the world of ink and paper, I adored the thought that my words would dance like flames, igniting souls with the rawness of my lived experiences. Having been born into a turbulent world, I have navigated through the tempests of life armed only with my truth, my pen, and my unwavering determination to help and comfort others. From a young age, I have always found solace in the rhythmic cadence of poetry, weaving my emotions into verses that spoke volumes of my inner turmoil. With each stroke of my pen, I carved a path through the complexity of my pain, transforming it into a symphony of resilience. Yet, behind the veil of my literary ability, hid shadows of a darker reality: my life, my world was a battleground, scarred by the cruel hands of domestic and family violence. But, I refused to be defined by it.  My three beautiful children, my pillars of strength, became my reason to fight. Their laughter echoed like melodies in my darkest nights, reminding me of the light that still flickered within. 
With my children by my side, I have embarked on a journey of healing, one page at a time. Each poem, each story, becoming a testament of my courage, and I pray it is received as a beacon of hope for those who tread the same treacherous path as I.   
Through the depths of despair and the heights of triumph, I have emerged as a survivor, a warrior, and a mother I am so incredibly proud to be. My story, etched in the annals of time, serves as a reminder that even in the darkest of nights, there is always a flicker of hope waiting to be ignited.
