Hey everyone,

I started this account a long time ago, back when I was much younger, and life pulled me away from it for a while. I was a special needs assistant teacher for years, and now I'm running my own business, Becoming Herrss, full time. Somewhere in the middle of all that, writing just fell away.

Something my therapist and I talked about recently was how hard we can be on ourselves, how we let the things that actually feed us get pushed to the back burner because life gets busy, because we convince ourselves it's not "productive" enough, whatever that means. Writing was one of those things for me.
After a lot of consideration, I decided to start writing again. Maybe this will turn into a book, maybe it won't, but either way, it's part of a new business I started called Herrss Creating.

I'm working on a new story called Kingsman's Blues - a 1920s Mississippi Delta love story about two people from very different worlds, church and juke joint, sacred and forbidden, finding each other anyway. It's been a real process of rediscovering my own voice through these characters, and I'm excited to finally put it out into the world.
