This year had been wild already, but I have a quick announcement! I was invited to get to chat with @galarussauthor on Instagram Live this Thursday!

We’ll be discussing ways to work past the fear of receiving feedback and critique, and how to get the most out of any kind of feedback to improve your writing!

More details on my Instagram page! @alixdhicks

@HicksScribbles I like the "do not take it personally" better than the saying "take it with a grain of salt" phrase. Thanks for the feedback. Just wish commenters would be kind and give examples to those who have errors rather than tell them off the back that it's nasty or my satirical favorite ... does not make sense at all and shames me altogether.

@Glory_feeling2 It definitely makes sense! As writers, I think we’re often told things like that, or to “not take it personally”, or to get used to receiving criticism, but I don’t often hear people share insights on *how* to do that!

I’ve personally experienced a variety of comments, and I’m looking forward to sharing how I’ve gone about using them (even the non-constructive ones!) to improve my writing, so that hopefully other authors can too! ^^

@HicksScribbles Hi! I'd like to hear about that. I don't actually have a fear of receiving feedback and critique as I've been in book clubs that do that. It's more of how to respond to it, *smiles* because I received one in the past where the author of the critique told me to just take his biting words with a grain of salt, if that makes any sense!

@Dreamshade1015 Hey!! I hope you’ve been doing good!! ❤️ Despite the current political circus show going on here, we’ve been managing well so far. Been hard at work on a manuscript we’re planning on querying, along with working on Oracle’s Path in between our day jobs. How’ve things been for you?

I am reading your books from few days and i felt they are amazing, i am a translator and i want to translate your books and help them reach a wider audience. Please reply back about this

HicksScribbles

@Siddatulasi Hello! While I greatly appreciate the compliment, I cannot approve any translations of my work at this time. There’s a few different reasons why, but I hope you’ll understand. Have a nice day! ^^
