@StarlightandStuff Thanks! I actually just reread both of my comments and I would like to correct myself being alone with an element leader is fine because they are technically also a cadet but they lead their element and everyone falls in on them, but they fall in on the guide if they have a guide there. (The guide is the person who holds the squadron's flag also called the guidon, when the guide doesn't have the flag they are just called the guide and when they do have the guidon they are called the guidon bearer). Everyone else except for the element leaders (and the sergeant although that depends on age) is not allowed in a room alone and there would need to be at least one other cadet.
Second, the dog tags are only worn by active soldiers, the dog tags give their name and important information about the soldier so they can be identified.
I am in the civil air patrol, therefore I have a good amount of knowledge on what and what's not accurate, so I don't mind answering any other questions you might have. I actually just came back from "PT" (we helped a senior member move(took 4 hours:'))) I'm painting now and staying up since we wont have to do PT tomorrow.
Also if you have any guidon bearer questions then I will be happy to answer :) I am actually the guidon bearer in my squadron so I would love to spill the beans on the life of leading an entire squadron while holding a heavy 8 foot guidon with the power of my armpit and an akward grip that makes literally no sense. (Love this position :'> )
<----Mushroom for good luck.
