​I want to give a quick explanation about the premise of Quiet Hours. I know I might get some backlash or hate in the future because of the plot twist, but please hear me out before judging.
          
          ​This book is an Alternate Universe (AU) built around the theory that Michael faked his death, simply because I wanted to write a story where he is still alive after This Is It.
          
           I didn't just throw this together.  I did a ton of real research on escape plans, rehearsals, and specific locations to make the plot work. This is purely a product of my imagination and is absolutely not meant to be disrespectful to Michael Jackson. It’s just fiction. ❤

I am so exhausted by these MJ fans who keep dragging fanfiction and calling it "disrespectful." They are mad because some authors portray Michael’s mature era as a wealthy CEO or mafia boss, claiming it ignores his real-life struggles during those years.
          
          ​But honestly, this isn't new. People were writing these exact same stories on Wattpad back in 2018! These newer fans are just being overly sensitive and looking for reasons to hate on things they don't even understand. Fanfiction is a massive, free creative space. When a story is explicitly labeled as an Alternate Universe (AU) with Original Characters (OCs), it means reality is being changed on purpose. Anyone who actually reads or writes knows this. They only hate it because they don't get how fiction works lol.

Hey!! I've been loving your Quite Hours fic sm!! I sometimes do edits of my favorites fics and I'm thinking of makin one of this story!!

Opposite of what she posted I commented talking about the issues within the fanbase. How some feel undervalued i have seen some women dragged by the fanbase and called parasocial for some of us doing fanfictions, AI pics etc. it’s sad to see moonwalkers/soldier of love bashing each other and it hurts my feelings that a lot of us cannot have a conversation and understand each other point of views

Adding to that, BE FOR REAL. We all know Michael had vitiligo, and he is beautiful with or without it. I might write mature era fics, but my readers know I always portray him as a Black man. You already know this if you read my books.
          
          ​I actually have drafts for Thriller era stories! The real reason I haven't published them is that I just don't know enough about the history of that specific time. Plus, that era feels so innocent to me. I get uncomfortable writing smut for that time period because he looks so sweet and soft. I can read Thriller fics and find them sexy, but when it comes to writing my own, I just can't do it.

I saw a post on TikTok saying there aren't many Off the Wall or Thriller edits because fans prefer 'light-skinned' MJ. Bro, be for real?! We all know MJ is a Black man. The real reason there are fewer edits from those eras is probably because they have a softer, more innocent vibe. On TikTok, most edits focus on the Bad, HIStory, or mature eras because the energy is more raw and edgy.
          
          ​It's frustrating when people jump to conclusions and say, 'You only like him when he's light-skinned.' Not all fans are like that! I love all of Michael's eras, but people are allowed to edit what they want.
          
          ​Also, if you look on Wattpad, it's actually the opposite. There are tons of J5, Off the Wall, and Thriller fanfics, but mature era fics are super rare. That's exactly why I decided to write about the mature era! Everyone has their favorites, and every era deserves love. It really doesn’t need to be an issue?
