This week is actually so crazy for me. I just had an elementary school tour of all the elementary schools in my district for band and we had to play the same songs at each one and so we missed school. We did this with the choir. We also got pizza! Tomorrow (sat.) I have to go from 8am-4pm for All Regions Band. It was a contest thingie for A LOT of school and I was the only 7th grade percussionist in my school to get in, so yay me! So my specific band will be learning 6 different pieces all in one day and performing on the same day, so yay to that. We even have a whole uniform thingie for that. Then after that I'm going to my uncle's house and staying there. Then on Sunday I have to GRIND for my finals for this school week, so that is also gonna be a lot. I also have early rehearsals for band Mon. and Tues. for the concert, and then I will also be doing the concert after school on Tues. Then wed, thurs, and Fri is finals, and Fri is a half-day, so then on that day I will be car because right after that, I have to volunteer at my library for hours. So, it's def a lot, which is also why I have stopped posting in my books for a bit. I swear, when Winter Break starts, I am so trying to finish that second book and start on the third. Well, here is my rant.

Y'all, my bf is writing his own book (not shared with friends) and for some reason I didn't know this? I also am writing a whole other Guardians of the Loch Ness Monster series that I'll post on Wattpad eventually.

The lift was constant, a pervasive, quiet force demanding ascent. There was no effort, merely submission to the cool, rising currents—a passenger on an immense, unseen river of atmosphere. The pink film of the skin offered no resistance; it stretched, yielding to the gas, forever seeking equilibrium with the decreasing density outside. This ceaseless adjustment was the only work, a passive, internal dialogue between pressure and vacuum.

Below, colors flattened, coalescing into a complicated map of greens and greys. They lacked dimension, existing as a vast, two-dimensional backdrop traveling past at indifferent speed. The structures down there—the stacked, rigid boxes and thin lines of movement—were fleeting textural variations, bearing no relevance to the state of suspension.

The cold was pervasive, wrapping around the sphere like a second, tighter skin, punctuated only by the painful brilliance of the sun. It seemed less warmth than an oppressive, unblinking eye. When the sun caught the plastic, it was an overwhelming blast of glare, instantly followed by the return to cold, quiet shadow as the slow, inevitable rotation continued.

The atmosphere itself was a current of profound indifference. It shifted the sphere without notice, turning it slowly over new, equally unimportant quadrants. Floating was a state of permanent passage. There was no harbor, no destination chosen. There was only the continuous, slow, rotational slide across the planet, waiting for the thinness of the air to overcome the finite lift, knowing this heavy serenity would conclude with the abrupt, jarring return to the fixed noise of the earth. Until then, the only function was to hang still, high above, and drift.

Apparently they're called a quabble, though the term isn't commonly used. Like, at all.
