          	This story took a LONG hiatus that wasn't planned. Life happened to both of us, and we couldn't prioritize our hobbies. Some people reading in 2024 were not here in 2021, and some of our 2021 readers are no longer in their ACOTAR era. Just know that whenever you found our story, we appreciate you.
          	
          	The main story is now complete. We might decide to revisit our beautiful bat babies *cough* sorry, rugged Illyrian warriors, in some smutty one-shots someday, and if we do we will tack them on to the end as bonus chapters. For right now though, we are going to bask in the satisfaction of completing a novel-length story. We love all of you, thanks for joining us on this wild ride.

And as a reminder "we" refers to me and to my co-author yafan92 on AO3. She is an amazing friend and writer, and her work is what inspired me to try my hand at Fanfiction in the first place. She does not have a Wattpad account so I've been owning the story on this platform. She has been featured in TikTok videos, Instagram/Facebook reels and is basically BookTok famous for some of her steamy stories, most notably 'Wingspan' and 'A Solstice to Remember'. Check her out and you won't be disappointed. If it weren't for her incredible editing, ghost writing, and eventual co-authoring this story would still be incomplete.

I had this week's chapter mostly done days in advance. And then I had a brainwave late Wednesday night and started tearing the chapter apart. I'm so sorry LOL. The new version is SO much better, and I'll be posting it sometime tomorrow (Saturday). After that, I'm taking a skip week to allow some creativity to flow without an imminent deadline. Life has been slowing down my writing lately, so I need to regroup. Once Chapter 13 is posted, you can expect Chapter 14 on or before April 17th. I promise I'm not abandoning the story, I have so much left to tell! Thanks for your interest and for hanging with me this far. I hope you enjoy this new chapter once it's published. XOXO <3

@limeyxfh thank you SO much! This story often feels like it's telling itself haha. I love these boys together! I post updates weekly on Thursdays (usually in the morning but sometimes life happens), but I will likely give myself a skip week at some point in April just to keep my life balanced. I also post this story on AO3 (same username) and I use the chapter notes to communicate stuff like that. I'm not sure of the best way to do that here on Wattpad, I'm a newb, so if you have a suggestion I'm all ears! <3
