Greetings Historians!

          	In the spirit of looking back at history and with Wattpad about to celebrate 18 years: what brought YOU to Wattpad in the first place?

katiegoesmew

@HistoricalFiction Looking for a site to post my newest fanfiction. Actually, looking for a forum to post it, because it had been so long since I wrote fanfiction, that was the standard way to share it back in the day, and then I realized that wasn't really a thing anymore. So...Wattpad. :)

✨ Would You Rather ✨

          Would you rather experience the Renaissance in Florence or the Industrial Revolution in London?

Annabethandalex

@HistoricalFiction probably london. I'm not as instristed in the middle ages, though there are some pretty cool things to learn about it.

@HistoricalFiction I'd go for the Industrial Revolution without a doubt! I'd be interested in the early technology and seeing how things differ from present times (assuming I still retain memories of current times.)

@HistoricalFiction My answer: sorry. I have to do research. I am not familiar with both eras. If the industrial revolution was anything like the US I'd pick that. If the Renaissance in Florence was like in Victorian times, nope. Not into the high society times with snooty people.

          The blood of the unknown parches the soul more than the blood of the kin.
          I've watched this magnificent sin for too long to grin
          As the blood of the once loved rains onto your people which is now mine
          Grip your mares' saddles, the loudest storm has come...

          The war of the Kasvoltran's scarlet wind took two great kings from foe countries.
          Danishmenthan's new king Bayezid's if not the first but the most prayed order was making the rest of the Tigrisian Royal Family pledge allegiance to himself at the battlefield including the first son of passed king Dragar, Prince Jaromir Dragarevic.

          This is the epic of love, faith, betrayal, the hardest rain, the brightest sun, the thickest dark and
          the loudest lightning...
          Tale of the most fearsome and wise ruler and his greatest knight...
          ...
          We love whom we love.
          ~~~~~~
On a holiday to Crete, we visited Knossos Palace. It was awe inspiring to learn about the Minoans society years before the Greeks. It's an open air museum that visitors are able to peruse at their leisure. While my family and husband wandered, I found myself spending time with the peacocks that live at the palace and sitting in silence imagining what the palace would have been like in its prime.
Royston Cave is really cool. It’s full of medieval carvings and no one knows for sure who made it, but it’s just under a regular street in a small town.
