In other news, sorry for being quiet. Life, as always, has kept me busy. But hopefully I should have something out here soon. Whether that be an update for the Mighty Nein story (sonofabitch, I need a season 2 NOW) or something new. If you know of the great author @Gokugunslinger, then you have a clue through his announcements on what the that is. (Go check him out. He’s both a great author/writer and a friend ^_^)

Forgot to post about this last night. Whoops.
So I went and saw Iron Lung in theaters…
AND IT WAS GREAT!!!!
The setting/world, the lore, Mark, and the blood! I loved every bit of it!
It’s a bit of a slow burn at the start, but it picks up pretty quickly. Mark (Markiplier) is the man, and really only character, we see for the entirety of the movie. But he does great by himself and keeping the attention of the audience. Not to say that the other characters don’t do great themselves, they did awesome.
I was surprised that they got Troy Baker in on this. Dude is my favorite when it comes to the voice acting industry and he did good in this, as always. And speaking of VA’s, they also got Elsie Lovelock! She doesn’t really “appear” until the second half of the movie, but she did great in this ^w^
One thing I will admit is that they could’ve expanded more on the lore of the world/Iron Lung. It’s more or less the same, but with a few tweaks due to Mark’s character and others. Hopefully this garners more attention that David Szymanski (the creator of Iron Lung the game) himself could build more into this universe in the future. (Hopefully. The world has me hooked and I need MORE.)

And if you’re wondering if this is a 1:1 of the game, it is for the first quarter before it becomes its own separate thing. Before anyone says that’s bad, it isn’t imo. They actually handled this pretty well and kept mine, and others, attention. On top of that, the atmosphere that they established in this at the very beginning is held on to the very end. Not many movies, especially one such as this, can do that.
Besides that, I LOVED this movie and Mark’s performance. Definitely his best project outside of In Space with Markiplier and A Heist with Markiplier. (Fun fact, it sounds like this movie is breaking the norm for Hollywood, f*cking finally, and doing insanely well with both reviews and revenue. Insanely proud of Mark and the team!) Overall, if given this movie a 8.5 (or 9) out of 10, or 4/5 stars. I’m a Markiplier simp, but the rose tinted glasses aren’t fully on XD
Can’t recommend this movie enough. If you have the time or money, go see it! It deserves to be watched on the big screen!

I knew the Guilded part (thanks to someone from the server briefly mentioning it), but that got taken out back and out down XD Server hasn’t been the same since you got banned. And just like that, the plug has been pulled on wasted potential. If you don’t know what I mean, EA has taken an axe to Anthem’s servers. The game is now officially dead.
Anthem wasn’t the greatest, but it wasn’t given a chance to run. Production on the game was rushed thanks to EA’s incompetence. And when people wanted to fix the game properly and give it more content with Anthem 2.0, EA gave the finger and pulled out.
The story was meh, but the groundwork for the world’s lore was SOLID. On top of that, the gameplay was great. Not the repetitive mission structure, but the way the Javelins felt, both on the ground and in the air with their abilities. The flight system in the game truly made me feel like Iron Man at times (when I wasn’t forced to be on the ground, lol). As a Colossus main, I hate to see my boi go out in a whimper like this…
Who knows. I might make an Anthem story sometime in the future to honor the game and give it the respect it deserves. For now? I’m going to grieve and be thinking about what the game could’ve been… See ya, Freelancers.
