I'm not understanding the hate that's going on with some Tom Riddle fics, and the authors who wrote them. People really need to lay off and give respect to the authors. One of the things that I hear is about the toxicity- ITS A TOM RIDDLE FANFICTION. DO YOU KNOW WHO HE IS? Do you really think its gonna be all sunshine and rainbows, and a healthy relationship? No. It isnt. Also there is no need to be bashing how the authors write their characters, or just the characters choices in general. People need to remember that in these fics the main character is constantly manipulated, and has their own trauma. Whatever "dumb" things they may do, feels right for them in that moment, seems like the most logical thing for them to do because of everything they are going through. So final main points to this. 1. Dont hate on the authors, in the end its THEIR story, THEIR characters, AND ITS ALL BEAUTIFULLY WRITTEN and written very accurately considering the situation the main character are in. 2. In most fics, there is trigger warnings containing the things that are going to be in the fics, like if the relationship is toxic. If you dont like those types of stories, then dont read it, it's that simple. What you dont do, is read it anyway knowing the warnings that were given, and leave hate. 3. These authors have put, time, effort, immense amount of research, and dedication into these fics for US to read, give some respect. I'm sorry for the huge rant, it just bothers me that literally some of the best fics I've read are being torn down, and authors are receiving hate, being discouraged for no reason.
