Hey guys! Just wanted to let y'all know I'm going to TRY and finish up my Jack Torrance x reader fic Obsession Kills. I was thinking about changing my Oc Jazmin to just Y/N but didn't and here's why.
I've been on wattpad for a while now and have yet to read a fanfic about all kinds of characters who's Oc is a woman of color. I'm not shaming those who's Oc is white, all I'm saying is that I want to see more poc in fanfic who aren't just based of racial stereotypes. As a woman of color, fanfics who have woman of color as their main character makes me so happy becuase I fi ally have some form of representation in fanfic!! But that doesn't mean I'm stopping there. Just becuase my Oc has tan colored skin and has an accent doesn't mean I'm stopping there and calling it "representation". In future chapters I plan on adding experiences a woman of color would experience. So there will be chapters taking about race, ethnicity and the discrimination of woman of color in the work field. I'm sorry If that might piss people off but I think its important to bring these issues to light even if it is on some random fanfic . but just becuase I'm saying all this doesn't mean that it will take away from the main part of the story which is the Oc and Jack Torrance's developing relationship. If u guys have any questions on the development of the story dont hesitate to ask
