Hey guys. This is just a vent, but I need to get this off my chest.
Wattpad is not for people under thirteen. Don't come at me, don't attack me. This website is saturated with a mixture of kids far too young to really understand the things they read, and people posting hardcore NSFW. Of course there's good sides, and good people. But at the end of the day this will not go well for anyone. I had my childhood ruined by online stories and fanfiction, and I don't want anyone else to suffer the way I did. Please, please just take a moment to reflect on what you read, what you write, and what you say.
If you are under the age of thirteen, maybe even fourteen, my profile is NOT a safe space. WATTPAD is NOT a safe space. Please get off this website, and take care of yourself. Do kid things, live your childhood. Write your stories down on Google Docs or a Notes app, and give yourself time to think before posting.

@SeraDrake I assume they're bypassing age restrictions by entering fake birthdates. It sucks, but kids are going to just keep doing it. That's why I hope at least one person sees this little vent, because children shouldn't share a website with adults. I agree with you on the fact that teenagers shouldn't share this website with adults either, but there's not much we can do unless Wattpad cracks down.

@Hospitalized_Enby - I thought you were required to be at least 13 to get a Wattpad account, anyway. I also happen to think there ought to be a separate Wattpad platform just for the under-18 crowd, but that's another issue. How on earth are pre-teens getting onto Wattpad in the first place?!?
