The plague will return, it's not a matter of if, only of when.

If you think I wasn't going to use this shit update to make you question your existence and fear the future you are a fool.

Do you also ever just think about how religion and some folklore and the fact that the fear of the occult and witchcraft stemmed from fear of death and real life epidemics?
          
          How the people in that time felt hopeless and wanted a face for their death to feel like they had some power in a horrifying situation so they created witches and cults that were "guilty" of the diseases that raged across the world? The Spanish flu was blamed on the enemies of the U.S. during WW2 and many people back in medieval times blamed and used Jewish and Romanian people as scapegoats for the Black Death.
          
          Fiction is always more kind than Reality.

 Many people try not to think about mass extinction that is evident in new proof of asteroids that strike the earth hard enough to destroy buildings. If these were to be bigger and strike harder, the entire world could be decimated in the blink of an eye.
          
          The fact remains that we are not as immortal as we think. 

Do you ever just think about how overdue we are for a disease epidemic? Or, how that super volcano underneath Yosemite will erupt and kill all of the citizens of the United States? And plunge the world into another Ice Age? And how we have no power to stop any of it? 
          
          Sure, you say that modern medicine can stop diseases and keep us healthy. But there are so many new viruses cropping up that are immune to most painkillers and antibodies that there could be a super virus or bacterium that can and will wipe out most of the world's populous. We are overdue and one day our ticket will be punched.
