Hi! i just want to share something with you. Recently my feed is full of rape cases and suicide cases and im scared. im scared that if i walk out of my house and god forbid my bra strap is visible I would be blamed for asking for it. im scared knowing how I sit, how i eat, what i eat, what i wear, how i speak etc etc, is enough for a man to be aroused enough to rape or angry enough to cover me in acid. im scared that every step i take outside my house i wont know when ill be forced in a dark alley or a scary truck. im scared that being born with a stick makes a man feel he has the right to hit us. im scared because ik that right now millions of girls, my age, our age are being harassed but cant speak out. the government and police is doing nothing to protect us. in a recent case a 13 year old was gang raped for 4 days and when she went to the police, the officer raped her while performing a rape kit. How am i supposed to feel safe when the protectors of law are the ones who abuse it the most. im scared that if i ever face such misfortune i would be forced to do a 2 finger test, i like it or not. the thought that so many women go missing everyday yet we turn a blind eye is scary because what if its one of us in their place? our sisters, mothers, aunts, friends and daughters lives are at stake and yet we continue life as if all is fine. Heck even dead bodies of women are being raped in the graveyard!!! WE ARE NOT SAFE! WE ARE NOT PROTECTED! WE ARE NOT LIVING OUR LIFE WE ARE SIMPLY EXISTING!!! AND ITS OUTRAGEOUS!!!! WE NEED TO SAY WHAT IF IT WAS YOUR MOM OR SISTER TO MILLIONS OF BOYS TO MAKE THEM FEEL AN OUNCE OF EMPATHY REGARDING THIS BUT LIKE SHOULD WE!??????? PLEASE IF YOURE FACING SOMETHING SPEAK UP AND SPEAK OUT LOUD!! WE NEED TO PROTECT OURSELVES AND EVERY LIVING BREATING CREATURE OUT THERE!!! PLEASE SPREAD THIS MESSAGE IN YOUR OWN VOICE IN YOUR OWN WORDS BECAUSE ITS TIME THAT WE STOP THINKING ABOUT OURSELVESD AND THINK ABOUT ALL OF US!!!
