The idea that schools are a reflection of our society is central to Lock Down. How devastatingly tragic that society has now become a mirror of the worst horror of our schools. It is pathetically little to offer, but my sorrow, my anger, and my hopes for healing are with those who are suffering in California, Texas, Ohio, and from mass shootings everywhere.

So....literally 10 minutes after I finished Lock Down, my 2 year old Mac crashed. Dead. Like a rock. So I'm on a borrowed computer and I'll be heading out to the Apple store, which causes me great anxiety. Anyway...I may not be responding to comments quickly, and I am disappointed to say that I may not be able to resume reading some of your books right away! I was really looking forward to getting back to reading! Fingers crossed it can get fixed quickly, but if not, I'm not ignoring you.
