The Gamemakers have determined that the games are getting boring for the Capitol audience. They release several ferocious, giant wolves into the arena in their first attempt to create some drama.

"Aie." Faye shook her head, eyeing the gigantic wolf in front of her. She watched it calmly, while it stomped up the side of the mountain viciously. Not waiting to see if Ember was helping, she directed her harpoon away from her and towards the mutt's heart. Thwack. The mutt stumbled for a moment. But it kept on coming. Faye nocked an arrow in her bow and let it fly into the mutt's heart, but it still kept on coming. Four more arrows and another spearhead later, The beast was roaring in pain, but still coming. Faye let fly two more arrows into its eyes, and the mutt screamed and fell, scratching her on her right arm.

She ignored the blood on her arm and cleaned her weapons with snow, then headed back to her pack and cleaned her wound methodically, wrapping it up with a tight white bandage.

@Rachettte They walked for a while, the sun beating down on their necks.

@typhoon_ "Okay." Ember trudged through the snow, heading for the river. The sun was setting, it appeared.

She couldn't help but wonder where the other tributes were, or if anyone had died. She would have to find out later.

@Rachettte "The river. Food and water." Faye said, after a moment.
"Let's go, better get to somewhere warmer before nightfall."

Ember grabs the bow and runs for the snow-covered mountains she can see in the distance. She plans on scoping out the arena and possibly teaming up with someone. But who?

Faye stood up. "Faye. You?" she raised an eyebrow. The light gleamed off her lethal weapon.

Ember heard a sound—a faint clicking—and dove behind the trunk of a pine tree. She nocked an arrow, allowing her survival instincts to kick in. The sound had come from her left. She drew the string back, closing one eye.

"Who are you?" She called out. This was a good opportunity to make an ally—a skilled one—early on in the games.

Faye sighted someone in the distance. Who was it? A girl, average size, blonde. She looked smart, cunning. Faye thought she might as well start killing. And perhaps if she could actually defend herself, she'd be a good ally.

She lifted herself up from her hiding place behind a snow-covered log, lifted her harpoon, and pulled the strong elastic on the shaft, pulled it back onto a small hook at the back, then took aim. Her spare spearheads clicked against each other at her waist.

Faye breathed slowly, in and out. She was a fast runner and had gotten a large white pack in the cornucopia, a collapsible surviver tent, a lethal-looking silver harpoon, a bow and a full quiver of arrows, and a couple of knives. She'd ran to the forest as quickly as she could.

Her time in the Capitol was less than enjoyable. After the shock of being reaped, all Faye felt was an animalistic instinct to survive. Her family was one of the poorest in one of the poorest districts, and she'd battled starvation before. Being a translator (and knowing 5 languages including sign language) for the Peacekeepers, she was a skilled fighter and so felt rather confident.

Her long black hair was tied into a tight ponytail, her tribute uniform of a white ski suit was extremely good at blending into the snow that blanketed the evergreen forest and kept her warm, and she was feeling good so far. Opening her white pack, she scanned the items. A bag of dried food, matches, collapsible stove, a water skin full of water, water purifying tablets, and various other useful things, including a decent sleeping bag. She put everything back in and strapped the things on her back. It was time to go find another water and food source.

*edit* Faye spread some snow on her black jacket and beige trousers, packing it and ignoring the sharp cold, camouflaging herself. She fingered her charm bracelet, her district token. Feeling a stab of homesickness, she swallowed and lay behind a snow-covered log.

Faye's training score had been a top mark of 11, and the Capitol had been impressed by her elegance and aloofness, as well as her unidentifiable accent and mysteriousness.

Lilianna watched the violence before her, it was all happening too fast. She knew that this might be her only chance to get a good weapon and supplies pack, but she knew better than to run into that mess. Especially after her training scores, she only managed to pull a four, which made her everyone's first and easiest target. So instead she took off in the direction toward the forest, she figured if she got there and found a big enough tree before night fall she could live until morning. Then she could find some supplies tomorrow.

Lilianna watched Nicole thoughtfully. "So what should we do now?" She asked.

Nicole know that she could fully trust Lilianna. "We better what is inside my pack. Good thing I stole it." Nicole said.
Inside the pack was a pack of knives, two water bottles, some crackers, and a purifier.

@dorkerussophiatheTBA Lilianna didn't hesitate to agree, though she knew better than to fully trust anyone here Nicole didn't leave her to die when the wolf attacked. And that warranted some trust.
