bakugo let out an anguished yell of disappointment and annoyance . shitty hair had convinced him to play video games , and had invited the half - and - half bastard along too . 
          
          reading the words flashing on the screen sent his blood boiling . the damn thing had to be wrong . . . THERE WAS NO WAY HE COULD HAVE LOST TO THAT ASSHOLE . but his eyes weren't deceiving him . the words that were displayed boldly  ' Soba eliminated EXPLOSION MURDER ' were in fact a reality . 
          
          bakugo turned to the boy beside him , taking in his smug expression of nonchalance . how did that bastard beat him anyway ? he had never seen the other male play video games and yet here they were . His features twisted into a comical expression of anger bakugo attacked the other boy with his verbal spears . 
          
          ' OI WHO SAID YOU COULD CHEAT HALF - AND - HALF BASTARD . GIMME A REMATCH RIGHT NOW ! '

feeling rather timid to talk to the hybrid - quirked male after so long , deku swallowed the lump of saliva that had welled up within his mouth and began to take small steps towards the other , a visible drop of sweat shining from his forehead . he lifted a hand as a greeting , his freckled cheeks rising slightly as he pulled the best smile he could . " h - hey todoroki ! d - didn't think i'd catch you here ! by yourself ! at the boy's restroom ! " a bright red blush covered his face as he instantly averted his gaze from the other teenager . what an embarrassment .

immediately raising his hands defensively (a hard-stuck habit because of a certain explosive childhood friend ) , deku shook his head rather aggressively as he let out a few more stuttered words . " n - no ! you're fine ! i just uh , came to uh , wash my hands ! " he pointed towards the sink with a nervous laugh before turning the tap on and rinsing his hands underneath the running cold water . he hadn't expected it to be so cold as he flinched , turning the handle towards the warm side quickly before finishing up .
            
            in reality he had really needed to use the restroom during the lunch break , but with todoroki there he was too embarrassed to go after showing off such a /wonderful/ greeting . he mentally slapped the palm of his hand against his forehead . if only he weren't too socially awkward.
            
            after finishing up with the paper towels to dry his hands , he pointed towards the door awkwardly with another nervous smile , a corner of his lips curving upwards with an apprehensive laugh . " w - well , i'm down here ! so uh , yeah um . . . " he paused for a short moment , unable to think of anything casual to say , " see ya next time ! " izuku blurted the first thing that came to mind , and with an even redder face than before he rushed out of the rest and back towards the cafeteria , his hands cupping his flushed cheeks out of discomfiture .

            Light pattering echoed throughout the boy's restroom, a voice engulfing the hybrid hero's ears― dual-colored orbitals shifted, the male posed a gaze at whom had greeted him so politely. 
            
            ❝Oh, Midoriya. Ah, I was just. . . washing up, actually. I apologize, if you have to use the restroom yourself.❞
            
            A stoic visage captured the emotionless boy's gaze, noticing the sheer embarrassment proceeding his fellow 1-A classmate. This spot was overtly awkward to spark a conversation in, after all. 
            
            Raising a curious eyebrow, the hybrid-quirked hero rubbed the nape of his neck. What was he even supposed to say in this situation? Did people usually start conversation in the restroom? These questions all circulated in his mind.
