Can someone please help me? I was reading a book with a plot like this:
          
          Older guy around mid 20s with a interesting first name that starts with M working as a janitor at a high school, living with a music teacher named Roscoe. He meets this girl who's like mid teens also with an interesting first name that starts with C, and he develops feelings for her, but Rosco warns him off. He stays away until the girl and her best friend Gianna, ends up raped by her uncle when he and a few hundred convicts escape from prison. When the pair escape to his apartment and asks for refuge, he accepts much to Roscoe's dislike.
