Honestly, this needs to happen in the story. I've been thinking hard about this. They need to break up. Louis will discover he is Bi, and he will take off with Amy, Dylan can do whatever the hell you make him do, but honestly, they need to break up, and come to realize what they had was probably the brighter side to relationships. They need that. Because honestly, in real life, when two people realize what they had was better, and they get back together, the relationship is usually stronger.
