I’m trying to find a Wattpad story I read a while ago and it’s been stuck in my head, but I can’t remember the title or author.
Here’s what I remember:
The main character is a 16-year-old girl named Nova
She has brothers named Phoenix, Caelum, and Hunter
The story revolves around family secrets and her family “protecting” her by hiding things from her
There’s a scene where an older female character tells Nova that her family doesn’t want to harm her, but their way of protecting her is hurting her
Nova thanks her for treating her like an equal and not a child
A couple of lines I remember (not sure if exact):
“I am not the only one you know… your family don’t want to harm you, but their way of protecting you is harming you in ways they don’t see.”
“Thank you for seeing and listening to me as an equal, and not a child like the rest of them do.”
I’ve tried searching Wattpad and Google with no luck, so I’m wondering if the story was deleted, unlisted, or reposted under a different name.
