Few “scientific” studies are found to be able to either be replicated or reproduced. Which makes them more scientific fiction than scientific fact. So, to the extent that FB, Twitter and all those peer-reviewed journals and their army of fact-checkers are spreading, with full knowledge, misinformation since the evidence is that the study is more likely not to be either replicable or reproducible. For the study to be scientific, it must follow the scientific method and thereby be reproducible and replicable. No one ever possesses perfect knowledge. No one. Not even Jack Dorsey. Not even Mark Zuckerberg. Nor any AI algorithm. Nor the Poynter Institute and its fascist army of “fact checkers”. Learning is a life long process. And perfect knowledge is, at best, an asymptote. How can a society be free when there are gatekeepers who control our speech and associations?
