@novelistASH I'm so much a pantser. I don't outline. I probably should, but I really like the organic development and watching my characters flow through their world rather than being forced from one signpost to the next.

I just thought I would post a real quick overview of what I'm working on.

Threshing Floor -- a (hopefully) light and fun story based around Miss Fortune and Thresh from the League of Legends video game. If you liked the Arcane series on Netflix, check it out. In progress, stand alone story.

The Chaos Walker -- my main project. I am aspiring to blend a bit of The Last Gunslinger, with Outlander and a splash of It. How would you react if you met a more perfect version of your partner in another reality? In progress.

Sarah from Before -- companion to The Chaos Walker. Deep dives into the backstories of the secondary characters. In progress.

The Janitor -- meant to be the first in a collection of short, unrelated stories on a common theme.

Multifaceted Dreams -- an ongoing collection of poetry. Mostly a bucket to catch what leaks out of my head on the days when complete sentences are verboten. In progress.

Those are the high points, hope you find something that hits right! Thanks for reading.

This is me not being a stranger.

If you're interested in trying to write English Haiku, I would recommend reading some of the current magazines. Frog Pond is put out by the Haiku Society of America and they've been around since the late 70s. A lot of these places accept open submissions, so your work can be published.

I wrote about the most important part of drafting a Haiku in my collection. Take a look if you have the time and inclination.

I encourage you to read through my work to get a better sense of what curated haiku look like, as I use a lot of examples within those chapters. If my language is unapproachable, I'd suggest reading Frogpond. There are a lot of back issues as well as a wealth of discussions about what is or isn't a haiku.

I posted a short preview to the next chapter of "Threshing Floor." It's a bit of fun before Captain Fortune gets back to saving her beloved ship, crew, and Bilgewater.
The chapter will be much longer when it's done. Will Cesar pull his weight in battle? What exactly do Thresh and Dania want from Miss Fortune? Can Will make a difference in spite of being in the body of a blind begger? That's what I'm working on for the full version. Check it out!

I have an announcement. Believe it or not, I was mistaken earlier! I had neither edited nor finished chapter 13 of "The Chaos Walker" when I made my previous announcement. Shocking, I know! It is now done and 3 times longer than the sad little stub it was before. It is much better now. Please check out the whole story though. Don't jump to this chapter first. Be safe out there and enjoy!

I have finally finished an edit of all existing chapters of The Chaos Walker and I'm looking forward to getting back to writing new chapters in Regis' journey. I would love to know if everyone likes where the story is going. Many thanks to anyone who has spent some time with the story!
