I mean I am rather pleased to say that finally I have manged to finish writing Olivia's second ordeal. No rest for our poor Lia as the limitations of her powers continue to be viciously exposed... almost as of these ordeals are supposed to test her or something...
A new chapter of Soul Escape, finally Olivia has undergone her first ordeal. Not a pleasant experience for her and a reality check for her in terms of the power of her magic...
A new chapter of the Creator. This time we meet the gnomes. A pretty short chapter this one but it lays a lot of groundwork.
A new Soul Escape chapter is done, although it is just the build up to the main event, I enjoyed writing this, particularly the weird conversation... next up, the first of Olivia's trials.
Another chapter of Soul Escape done, albeit short. We've finally reached the event I've been building to since Olivia first used Hael and Hecrypsychon. In typical Olivia style she's accidentally managed to fulfil challenging conditions without noticing, unfortunately for her that means she is about to go through the wringer in order to come into her own as a Pteronic Fae...
Yay, I've finally managed to finish the next chapter of Soul Escape. It's been another tough one to write, perhaps because it's such a small snapshot into Olivia's life, or maybe because I wanted the chapter to do too much, I'm not sure. As ever thoughts appreciated.
Have managed to get the Merfolk first day chapter done for The Creator. Hopefully I have managed to convey a distinct sense of character for the Merfolk compared to the Elves. With all the races I'm sowing the seeds for where Lucian may need to interfere, will be interested to see if anyone spots them.
To end the day I have published the first chapter set in Lucian's world. It focusses on the Elves. I have tried something out, on which I'll be interested in people's views, in terms of the manners and obsession with courtesy etc. Also interested in what people think of this style of 'tale telling' within the overall narrative.
Only a short chapter for the Creator today but it means that we have formally finished the creation of the world. From here on, we shall see early life on Phiale from the perspectives for the first members of the races, as helped and hindered by the hand of Lucian.
Its official, the world exists, I've just posted the chapter of the Creator that says so. Fairly short but now Lucian can have fun actually being a god rather than thinking about it.
