If I’m emotionally attached to the characters in the book and then there’s a tragic ending then there’s a problem .

not to sound like an eDgY teen but I don’t really believe all stories are meant to end on happy notes. I don’t know I guess it’s more believable when they are sad, and unexpected? I like when the ending makes me cry.
