Hey! I saw your comment—thank you for your interest in my AU
Just a note, though:
This message might be a bit long. I’m not trying to scold or blame you, so please don’t take this the wrong way—I’d really appreciate it if you could read it to the end.
Your profile image is fanart of my AU drawn by a close friend of mine. While they usually don’t actively chase people over usage, they do not allow their art to be used without permission. (If you truly received permission, then I apologize for doubting you—but that’s unfortunately quite rare.)
I also looked through your stories and noticed that one of the thumbnails appears to be based on my artwork. It’s not a perfect match, but it seems likely that someone redrew it after seeing my original piece.
I could have ignored this, but I chose to reach out because I don’t believe you had any bad intentions, and because you might one day run into an artist who is much more sensitive about this. Some people would report it immediately without any warning.
I genuinely appreciate your interest in and support for my AU, which is why this message is uncomfortable for me to send.
However, if this message is ignored or if I’m blocked without it being properly read, I will unfortunately have no choice but to proceed with reporting. I’ve had similar experiences before after politely asking for removal...
To be clear, my request is simple: please remove my friend’s fanart from both your profile image and any story thumbnails where it is used(“Robotnik’s Blue Son”), and also remove the thumbnail that uses my artwork(“The Dark Rider”).
Thank you for your understanding.
