Igor Yevtishenkov was born in 1967 in the city of Kharkov, the former USSR, where he graduated from high school. Since childhood, he was fond of reading historical literature and dreamed of becoming an archaeologist. In 1993, he graduated from the Institute of Foreign Languages with BD in translation. In addition, in 1998-2001 he graduated from the Open University, the UK, with MBA degree. His job required to travel to different countries of the world, especially Southeast Asia. Communication with various people gradually replenished his archive of short stories and sketches, which he used in his subsequent works. Not stopping translation work since 1993, he collaborated with APN News, EKSMO and MAKHAON publishing houses, wrote a series of articles and professional reviews, and published a collection of his verses. Translations of fiction include Point of Impact by Stephen Hunter, Harmful Intent by Robin Cook, Double Life by Vera Cowie, Love, Desire, Hatred by Joan Collins and Federal Union by Isaac Asimov. While teaching English in high school, he published some of his own short stories and articles in the English language in 1September magazine. However, a more thorough work on the prose began in 2003, when he first heard that a few cities in China might have been built by the Romans prisoners in the I century BC. This idea was the basis of this saga, which creation lasted intermittently for almost a decade.
