so i read somewhere that the usage of "dracarys" in hotd is actually incorrect and it was just used for fan appeal

yeah, zaldrizesperzys doesn't sound like the best thing to say to a dragon in battle. though it would be cool if everyone had their own unique command or something but that would just make things confusing and complicated. and dracarys is iconic so i don't care if it was just there for fan appeal because it just works

@Iittlereapers imo it makes sense for the targaryens before her to use Dracarys. Dragon in High Valyrian is Zaldrizes and Fire is Perzys, so I see it as being a very specific word for that purpose alone. If that makes sense

"dracarys" was coined by daenerys, as she didn't want her dragons to burn everything and everyone by using a simple command that could be said by just anyone, so she added the words together and formed, "dracarys", because not everyone was fluent in high valyrian. 
            
            i'm curious about how this is supposed to work. maybe the targaryens before her did actually use this word and it wasn't known to dany? what are your opinions?
