BRO THE MENENDEZ BROTHERS HAVE BEEN MY OBSESSION FOR MONTHS AND I CANTTT!!! If you dont know who they are, lyle and eriks (my pfp) dad jose was rly rich and so they lived with their mom, Kitty menendez, and Jose menendez. But while lyle was like 6-7 years old (BRUH I CANT ESCAPE 67 I SWEAR) jose would sexually molest him and "penetrate" lyle with objects such as toothbrushes and various other objects like that and during trial lyle said that he told his dad to stop and that it hurt and it bled apparently . So then eventually lyle told his dad to stop (kitty knew abt all of this and said that it was "punishment" btw) so jose went on to Erik. (NOOO MY BBY) So then Jose molested Erik. And he said that if either of them told anyone, he would kill them. They believed him and therefore never told anyone but eachother. They were also scared that if they did tell someone, nobody would believe them just because of Jose's money. Which led to them shooting their parents in the face. There are way more details about the case but if you wanna look farther into it then watch the trial on YouTube or watch Monsters on Netflix (the menendez brothers one obvi) The Netflix documentary didnt really capture what actually happened and one of the brothers came out to say that it was untrue and very rude to make it without their consent and stuff like that. I am very proud of them now though because of the fact that erik has graduated college and lyle has taken up painting and since there is so many people saying that they dont deserve life sentence, it had been shortened to 50 years (they've served 35 alr).
