If you're actually taking the time to read this then I will let you in on a secret:

All of my stories have an element of truth in them. They are never 100% fiction. Generally it's a major event in one of my character's life; family problems as an example. I incorporate my own memories and experiences into what I create, mostly because I believe that if there is at least one element of truth in a story, then it becomes a better story and hints that possibly everything is true. Makes for a more interesting read even if the readers don't know.
