"Look, in this world, you have to protect and defend yourself. You can't hide behind safe zone walls all your life, and expect everything to be fine. You saw what happened back there. You don't want a repeat of that, do you?" the girl questioned him. Callum shook his head, shivering at the memory as those, those monsters came, spilling into the place he called home for years. The brunette boy watched as the girl reach a hand out to him, offering it to him. "Well lets get moving. It isn't safe to be sitting in one spot for to long in a place like this, especially after what happened not to far away" Rayla told him, glancing around the old dark alleyway. Callum looked at her gloved hand for a moment, before nodding, taking her hand and stood up. "Now, lets go find that brother of yours, shall we?" Rayla asked Callum, sounding more optimistic now as she turned to the stranger, who only nodded. "Yeah, lets get going" Callum spoke with determination, walking pass Rayla, out of the alleyway and on to the street, now vacant and empty, except for the few still rotting bodies, and a few rusted cars lining the street. Rayla let out a quiet sigh, as she gripped her blood-covered bat, looking down at it, before quickly following the boy, soon walking by his side.
Just a quick peak of a Rayllum story I'm working on :3
