When you don't want to write a scene but want to write what happens after that scene but wonder if the reason you don't want to write the scene is because it's boring and no one will want to read that scene but don't want to rewrite the whole scene....
          
          A beautiful example of a writer's life

So we all know I'm writing a romance novel. It's going great...we are just going to IGNORE the fact I did indeed  delete about 10k words bc I hated them all but its fine. I really like where the story is heading now and if my schedule works out hopefully it is finished, edited, and published on January 1, 2027. BUT at like 12am while I was watching the enhypen concert live stream, I had a sudden idea on this fantasy book series about vampires. One of my writing goals in life (the top priority being actually finishing writing a book) is to write something that feels so nostalgic. Like it feels like a middle school chapter book but its like the YA version of it. Does that make sense? I want my characters to learn as they grow older in the series and go through different life changing events. I feel like this story (or what I have planned) feels exactly like that and I'm so excited to get started but ofc I don't want to forget about my romance book bc ITS SO CUTE OMG. What do you guys think? Do you think you will read smt like this? Also so sorry for this long blob of a paragraph lmao. I HOPE EVERYONE IS DOING GREAT
