Editing is like killing your darlings and then slowly bringing it back to life. 
I'm all about editing. 
I'm an editor. 
I don't read or write. I re-write and I fix stuff. 
Editing is important because easy reading can only be achieved by good editing. 
Without editing, there would be no readable and digestable stories.
