New= Zeus was afraid of being overthrown by one of his sons so he made each of their lives miserable. Hephaestus was too perfect as a newborn and Zeus saw this as a threat to his power. He threw Hephaestus off of Olympus, making sure that in the fall his looks became twisted and deformed. He wanted to make sure that Heph was punished everytime he looked into the mirror.

@ImperfectGod Thor stood up straight after bowing, looking at him with gentle facial features. “You are still not imperfect, however.” Upon seeing how touchy this subject must’ve been, he decided not to press any further. “I can assure you. Anyhow, it is still nice to meet you.” He couldn’t remember if they had met at one point or not.
