Every single one of us is just,
          	Drunk on the idea,
          	That a better world exists.

I knew a girl who liked to draw,
She drew pictures that nobody saw.
She was most artistic late at night,
In the bathroom out of sight.
SHe kept a secret no one knew,
SHe didn't tell a soul and her gallery grew.
Her drawings were different, no paper or pen
But needed a bandage now and again.
E stood by the river under the stars, she rolled up her sleeves an showed me her scars.
She felt embarrassed and looked down at her shoes.
Then I rolled up my sleeves and whispered "I draw too".

Just a cut
          Just a scratch
          "What's that mark?"
          "It was just the cat."
          Just an excuse.
          Just a lie.
          "What's with all the bracelets?"
          "Just fashion, why?"
          Just a tear.
          Just a scream.
          "Why were you crying?"
          "Just a bad dream."
But it's not just a cut,
Or a tear, or a lie
          It's always 'just one more'
          Until you die.
