No shade, no tea…just noticing SOME writers who transitioned from here to Amazon getting hits in the comments section for bad grammar/ sub par foreshadowing or poor character development/arcs. I see this to say, don’t criticize this environment too harshly on your way out until you get your lines right. There were numerous times I wanted to copy edit lines I see on here. But I enjoy the process. I’m just a spectator and I see this realm as a good/bad place to develop your craft. You don’t want to leave a legacy of bad grammar as a writer. No matter how much money you can make.

@Indie_gerl There are levels and also in some ways a lot more black authors in chick lit erotica zone over here then currently fit with kindle customer base. What amazon pushes when you aren't paying for those big dollar ad buys. Amazon has a vella and I've been thinking about messing around over there with my BDSM project but I dunno yet. it depends on wattpad and the health of my wattpad projects before I think about anything more. Right now it's slowed down but moving. I want to finish out the stories I already have over here. BWMW isn't a friendly amazon genre which makes no fucking sense at the same time... there's a real thirst for that over there. It's a mix bag. People suddenly want to read about black women. But it's a lot like how white women buy black barbie. She isn't buying a Kendra doll with Kendra's very black background and black story. She's buying a white barbie doll with a black tint. Not really the same vibe. I saw what they were talking about grammar issue was in dialogue sometimes and it is the way you say it. we do just gotta show your support and make sure that there's a base and that they can rise. I try and leave reviews on the ones I like.

@MistressOP Yes, I love me a discussion, girl!! I think my POV was from all the boards over the years saying they hate Wpad…ya,ya ya …going to abc, just shyting on it. Reader felt it, like damn, another lost one. I think it’s calmer now. Yeah, there’s horrible anti genre fans on here and content policing. I agree, it’s diff publishing levels and diversity matters. when I read pre Wpad and post Wpad, it’s just copy paste, low character/ plot development … I’m just like… for all it’s faults, didn’t the lil bit of wilderness here help you? Did you (metaphorically) have a author development for yourself? I feel like fanfic here transitions very poorly on the step up for some but others , so well! I think it’s b/c I like authors early eras and when they transition well, I’m like yay! I dunno, it was just sad & left a bad taste in my mouth, esp with the bwwm writers who were targets. I think it can go up from here❤️ I’m still rooting for everyone to succeed and make that money.

@Indie_gerl Yeah, but I think what wattpad has is early kindle energy. A lot of the plotlines are things that are simply not happening on kindle. Unless some of the social writers bring it there. Right now Kindle feels very harquin. It's storylines that feel like storylines that have been copied. Rinse and repeat. That early Kindle before the Ads was very much filled with a lot of subgenres and original beats. Sometimes when you are doing a different beat it feels different. As for grammar people and whatnot, they are paying so hiring someone for that stuff is kind of required. PErsonally, I'm a zero-budget writer so I feel their pain.
