@EllyAdictedto8BINI You've now got me hooked on this story! Don't be sorry, your mind came up with all of this amazing material.  Oooh I could even picture Miranda (the political rival) encouraging the reader to divorce Alcina and become her wife instead so she would get both the reader's heart and her family's political partnership. It just sounds like something Miranda would do/say because she's such a devious character lol. Thank you for clarifying the part about the doctor.

and also OMYGIE, sorry for my playful mind, but here, The Reader Never Wanted the Marriage. Miranda discovers that the Reader never wanted the arranged marriage.
            "I didn't marry Alcina because I loved her. I married her because my family expected me to."
            This gives Miranda hope.
            For the first time, she thinks:
            "Maybe I still have a chance."
            This would make Alcina's jealousy even stronger because now she knows Miranda isn't going to back down. HAHAHAH again sorry for this kind of mind I have
