Inked

It's been a long time. Still recovering and struggling, but the tunnel doesn't seem so dark and constricted anymore. 
          
          I'm teaching at a university, which is crazy after everything. It's only temporary but I hope to help students so they don't have to go what I went through or at least help them understand it is okay to be having a dark time. 
          
          With writing, I'm not sure nor exactly happy about where Drenched in Madness, the second book, is going so it's not giving up but not being worked on actively...I mean if that's not obvious. The same goes for the others I suppose in a sense. They aren't abandoned, at least not in my head, I'm just not actively writing in them currently. Which I suppose some people may consider as good as...
          
          I actually finally started editing Ink Me Insane. I've said that a lot, but it's only been minor grammar stuff prior cause honestly I was scared about doing so. It made the process, real I guess. If I actually seriously edited, then I could submit for publication and be shot down.  But I randomly got motivated and some inspiration for a better start, so I'm trying to ride that wave. 
          
          If anyone is interested, I can post it here, otherwise suppose hopefully you'll get to read it on paper in your hands some day.

I just finished Ink me insane and it was awesome. Are you still working on the sequel?

New job...you know I started writing Ink Me Insane while working at a hotel during lull time. Maybe this will help get me writing again.

          So I'm trying not to freak out. I just sent my advisor my intent to withdraw from my PhD degree and the university at the end of this semester. I know this is the best situation for me. My advisor and I didn't get along. I no longer cared or was interested in my research. The house I was living at was being sold. And that is always going to be the place where my depression brought me to my lowest. So it's a good thing...but knowing that and not feeling like a failure is hard. But I'll get through this. 
          
          Just very nerve-wracking. Good luck to anyone else dealing with stuff.
          
          Remember to do what's best for you and your mental health! Even when it's hard.

Hey Wattpad people!
          
          Ah I actually posted an update for Drenched in Madness! Woo!!!! It's short but I did it and it's a start. 
          
          And update on where I've been, you know besides attempting and being embarrassing by trying to do cool things like Instagram and Tiktok. XD 
          
          Well, I went to an adult partial hospitalization program for 12 days. Basically it's a giant therapy program where they do a mixture of group, occupational, skills, and other types of therapy. And that was, interesting. Admittedly I'm sad it wasn't some fix. From the way my therapist, psychiatrist, and the people in it prior to me all talked about it, I was expecting more, but I had heard a lot or researched much of what they suggested before. I suppose I came into a bit unrealistically. There is no miracle way for everyone to work on their mental health. Different things help different people. I know the program really changed the life for others in my group in that short a time. Which is amazing! It just wasn't that for me. 
          
          Still, I'm glad I did it in the sense I took time for myself, it's always helpful to have reminders of things, and it was nice to not be alone. So no it didn't magically make me happy, but I'm working on getting my life back together a little more each day. And that includes on here and trying to find enjoy in things I love again.

Hey Wattpad people!
          
          So once more stumbling into the internet I don't really understand, I have created a tiktok account @inked_insane. So far just got some art, and my dog, but again it's a way to expand my content and get out there to people. This whole social media thing is well...confusing (god that makes me sound old XD). As in, I'm not sure what to share or people would even care about, let alone how to make it appealing in what format. However, objectively I can see the benefits for writers and artists to be able to connect with people. So we will see how it goes...
          
          Anyway, where it may be fun here, I'm hoping to do some character interviews. So let me know if you have any questions and for who!
